Created by Broadway Performer  Jeffrey "Shecky" Schecter and his wife, Melissa "Melly" Swender, I CAN DO THAT NYC is New York City's best place to learn the fundamentals of dance and theatre or take your child to the next level.

 

With over 25 years of experience and major appearances on Broadway and National Tours including THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, GUYS AND DOLLS, WONDERFUL TOWN, EVITA, THE PAJAMA GAME, ANYTHING GOES, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, WEST SIDE STORY, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, and A CHORUS LINE,  Jeff and Melissa know just about everything AND everyone in the world of Theatre and Dance.

 

Inspired by the natural enthusiasm for dance and theatre by their 3 year old daughter, Jeff and Melissa created I CAN DO THAT NYC in 2015.  They are excited to celebrate their 10 years anniversary of ICDT NYC in 2025!  Fun fact: The name of the company comes from the song, "I Can Do That," which Jeff performed more than 500 times in the Broadway revival of A CHORUS LINE.  

 

With a growing staff of Broadway Performers and Theatrical Professionals, Jeff and Melissa are determined to offer inspiring, educational and fun classes that build confidence, motor skills, social skills and an appreciation for the arts.
